Workshops, Experiences & Events
Seafood centered workshops, events, and experiences designed to inspire and empower fish-curious folk to learn and love your local catch
ah, i sea you made it…
I’m Trish Whetstone, a cross-disciplinary creative exploring the creatures, cultures, histories, and food systems behind our seafood.
I blend culinary skills, storytelling, and hands-on experiences to help people build confidence with seafood and better understand waters it comes from.
Through workshops, events, demos, creative experiences, and (unnecessarily ambitious but always worth it) festival activations, I create opportunities and spaces where people can get curious, ask questions, and try something new.

Art 🤝 Ocean
Join us for a special creative collab workshop!
We’ll dive straight into it with oysters, sharing why they’re amazing, how they’re out there doing the lord’s work for marine ecosystems, and how to shuck safely to avoid a trip to the hospital and a free tetanus shot.
Then we’ll sample a selection of oysters through a simple introduction to merroir and learn how place, water, and environment shape flavour.
Then transition into creative mode, and make your own ceramic Oyster Tray or Seacuterie Board to take home. You will you be led through a step by step demonstration and then be let loose to add your own special touches!
This event is SOLD OUT
